Interview in english.

= INTERVIEW IN ENGLISH =

According to the established canons (which in this blog have not followed standard, nor do too much attention) all interviews should have a small presentation or header, mostly because the reader input, you must know who is dedicated this interview. On many occasions the group in question, deserves praise for be presented, or comment on wider opening, if the band is a novice or little known on the music scene as appropriate. But not today, today is special, because if we say something about the composers who will tackle these lines, we should dwell too much, would steal their role, and that's not fair. Therefore, whatever we certainly deserve to more, and say what is already quite alone, a single word, one name: CONAN..

Greetings CONAN. Like all bands, you had a beginning, a origins where a strange feeling drives you from the inside to pick up an instrument, and draw your soul with music notes but ... do not ask for your biography, or if you were childhood friends and you began to play. We would like to know at what point in your life, in your hearts, CONAN born.
- Conan was born back in 2006 and it has been a labour of love since then. The aim has always been to play the heaviest music possible and we are doing pretty good so far. We aim to improve with each release and put on a good show when we play live and so far we have succeeded.

"Battle in the Swamp" is far away in time, but it was with "Horseback Battle Hammer" where we believe did you create your sound to the present, a heavy, dark sound. Since then we have seen the group evolve positively ... Are you okay? How do you see this development?
- The development has been cool. Bands should always try to progress in all ways if possible. It is difficult to enjoy the music if you are not pushing your own boundaries, it can feel like you are treading water. We don't go crazy trying to be weird or avant garde, we just play music that we enjoy working on and so far it has taken us to some awesome places and has evolved all on its own.

You are a band with a remarkable evolution from your first work, do you think it is right that part of the audience will include some kind of genre? Many talk about Stoner-Doom, Sludge metal, and other… Do you believe in musical genres?
- Obviously there are lots of different genres to music, the press needs them and the fans like the distinction also. I personally don't care too much for that side of it, as a lot of bands will straddle different 'genres', how do you put something like that under one banner? We see ourselves as a heavy metal band, with the emphasis on the word 'heavy'.

We are curious about the name of your band: CONAN. In official videos that have published we have seen some references to the imagery of the famous character of the writer Robert E. Howard. For example, in the video of "Foehammer" apart from many features of the comic world in general, towards the end when focusing the eyes of the Beast-goddess-protector of the planet, we have noticed the resemblance to the face of an elephant, can be, in our opinion, one of the gods most on the Conan universe, the elephant god: Yag-Kosha. Are we right?
- Oh wow, I hadn't noticed that! Any resemblance to characters in the world of Conan would be merely coincidental. But that's a cool link!

You can ask many questions about concerts, but we would be interested to know what we live you left your best memory from the beginning until today.
- The first time we played a show with Sleep was pretty awesome. They flew us to Oslo and we opened the show up, meeting those guys was very cool.

Does the artwork of the cover follows a pattern? Or they are the reflection of the stories that you describe in the songs? One more thing, Who is the artist?
- The artist is a guy called Tony Roberts and he has worked with us since day one, he's a good friend and a great artist.(ndr: Had asked more things...)

Something that has always captivated us is the original form of singing Jon. Often a verse is composed of a few words, but interpreted as if the edge of a cliff and thrown to the wind. These are the words sung with feeling of wanting to reclaim freedom and fury. Does it come out naturally, instinctively, or is there some deeper reason inside your vocalist to sing this way?
- I think my vocals are pretty simple and effective, there is no deep meaning behind it aside from the fact that I like how my voice sounds when I shout like this.

You have published some incredible albums. We know that the future is not written, although we would like to know ... Are you thinking about making a new work?

- We are always thinking about evolving and soon we will be working on some new stuff.
What does it mean to you that the word "music"?
- Music is an art form that can be pleasurable to any person at any time, in any place regardless of race, religion and gender and you cannot say that about most other forms of art.

So far we have come. I hope you liked it. You have this space to say goodbye to our fans. Thanks and see you soon!
- Thanks. We're grateful for all the support we have had and hope to see everyone on the road soon.
